The Cherish girls are a group of friends who met whilst singing with the award winning choir 'The Chanterelles'. The girls love performing and all sing for pure enjoyment.
Here is some additional information about each member of Cherish:
Alison (Soprano)
Alison runs her own business, AJ's Fitness, with her husband Paul as well as raising her
3 year old daughter Olivia. Alison has been singing since she joined the Chanterelles
aged 13 and now sings regularly with spin-off choir The Chanterelders. She is always
first to get involved with other musical activities and takes on all of the organisation with
both choirs, arranging concert venues, accomodation and selling tickets. Alison said
"Being in Cherish is so much fun. We have a great time rehearsing together and to be
able to sing at someone's special occasion is such an honour."
Faye (Mezzo-soprano)
Faye Spends her time as a co-big band leader od Konnected Swing, with her husband,
as well as being an instrumental teacher, session musician, musical coach and
performer. She trained as an Undergraduate & Postgraduate at Trinity College of Music
before pursuing her professional career as a Clarinettist and Saxophonist. Balancing her
teaching in London & surrounding areas with performing and touring both Nationally and
Internationally and loves that she is now part of Cherish. Faye said that she is extreamly
happy to be part of Cherish as she loved singing with the Chenterelles and loves singing
and performing with friends once more. Faye also feels very honoured as Cherish sang
at her wedding (2010) during the service making the day that extra bit special.
Lucy (Alto)
Lucy has always loved singing, and in primary school got involved in every play, choir and
performance! Aged 16 she joined the Chanterelles choir and has sang in various
prestigious venues including The Royal Albert Hall and De Montfort Hall Leicester. After
graduating at York University with a BA in Theatre, Film and TV, Lucy spent a number of
years working in events management, hosted entertainment onboard a cruise ship, and
now works at De Montfort University in business development. Throughout her
professional career Lucy has always found time for singing, including joining the Leicester
Philharmonic Choir and singing with them in various concerts across Leicestershire. She
is extremely happy that she become the latest member of Cherish and looks forward to
sharing her love for singing with others.
